Each design situation brings with it its own context, stakeholders, constraints and team dynamics. In this kind of ecosystem, even a familiar problem or opportunity space can require a very different approach when encountered a second time around. There are a few key phases of activity that contribute to a successful design solution, not necessarily strictly ordered or distinct, often revisited in reflection or action, and supported by a range of techniques that can be tweaked and combined as needed. However the project unfolds, it should ultimately be guided what would best serve the people you're designing for.
